Every half a year, Huawei will release the flagship handset of P series and Mate series. It is just like the release of latest P40 series, which come out a few days ago. However, due to the growing competition among the entire industry this year, manufacturers, even including Huawei, have to make strategic adjustments. At least, there will be new actions taken at product level. A new report suggests that Huawei seems to “resurrect” the previous product line of Mate S and the successor may debut as early as May.
According to the digital blogger @ Changanshumajun, who frequently and accurately reported the news of Huawei’s products, Huawei may have a high-end mobile phone of Mate series other than Mate40. And the new phone will be released in May or June this year, which is positioned as the successor of Mate S in 2015. Is the new Mate series positioned higher than the Mate40 series?
The blogger also said that global mobile phone manufacturers have shifted their focus to mainland China under the epidemic. Other domestic brands need to show their special skill facing with the market impact, while Huawei also needs more technical reserve for competition. Therefore, some of Huawei’s self-developed technology will be also introduced with the new Mate mode. As for the specific technology, the blogger did not elaborate.
Huawei Mate S was Huawei’s flagship handset released in September, 2015. The phone has a refined integrated all-metal body, equipped with a Kirin 935 processor, supporting fingerprint 2.0 recognition technology and knuckle 2.0 technology. The greatest advantage is to be the first to carry with Force-Touch function and regarded as the world ’s first smartphone with a pressure-sensitive screen.
The successor of Mate S, exposed by @ Changanshumajun, is expected to bring the same surprise as Mate S. He said that although the phone is planed, there may be changes—either to rename or simply cancel.
