Huawei MatePad T8 launched with MediaTek MT8768 SoC

The Huawei MatePad T8 is fueled by one of MediaTek’s processors. It comes with the  MediaTek MT8768 octa-core processor, not one of Huawei’s Kirin chips.

This tablet features an 8-inch HD+ (1280 x 800) LCD display. It comes with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage. Both of those variants offer storage expansion via a microSD card (up to 512GB).

Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, along with Huawei’s EMUI 10.0.1 skin. Do note that the tablet comes without Google services, due to the US ban. Huawei’s HMS is included instead.

A 5,100mAh battery sits on the inside of the Huawei MatePad T8, and it supports 5W charging.

A 5-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture) sits on the back of the device. This tablet has one camera on the front as well, a 2-megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) unit.

This is a budget tablet. It has been silently launched by Huawei in Romania. it is priced at 500 Romanian Leu, which translates to $112 / €104.
